Summer camps
special education
We try to give back to the school, and one way we do that is work with the school’s Special Education Program. Every week, students from Special Education are invited to the classroom to experience what the program has to offer. Our program gives the Special Education students self-confidence and the skills to work in a group.

mentoring
The team volunteers at elementary and middle schools to give younger students the opportunity to experience robotics. We believe that the more students that we can introduce to robotics at an earlier age will provide the team and the community with better equipped students to tackle the rigors of high school robotics. We have two liaison teams currently working with feeder middle schools. Our endeavors have even caused one of the teams to win tournament champion in the 2016-2017 season.

toy drive
Sierra Vista High School has had the privilege to participate in the KLUC toy drive during this past holiday season. The team has donated over $500 worth of toys to children in the Las Vegas community. It feels great to be able to give back to the community in ways that will touch the hearts of families around the world.

trunk or treat
Our team has had the privilege to participate in the Metro Police Department trunk or treat the past two years. At these events we set up a booth displaying our robots and hand out candy to younger kids. Its a great opportunity for our team to give back to the families of police officers and thank them for all the help they do in the community.
